Lulur Mandi Susu Purbasari

Kadang-kadang, hanya sekedar mandi dengan sabun mandi yang lembut setiap hari sekalipun tidak cukup. Memang sabun mandi yang tepat bisa melembapkan kulit dan membuatnya nampak cerah. Hanya saja, perlu juga diselingi dengan scrub setidaknya sekali dalam seminggu. Banyak orang yang memilih lulur, tapi bagiku, untuk melulur tubuh sendiri rasanya sangat merepotkan dan tidak terlalu efektif. Lulur harus dioleskan di kulit yang sudah lembab, lalu ditunggu hingga kering sebelum digosok hingga luruh. Itu artinya, perlu menghabiskan banyak waktu di dalam kamar mandi. Oo..oo. Lebih baik singgah di spa dan membiarkan terapis disana yang melakukannya sementara aku bisa tidur santai. Hehehe. Pilihan yang lain adalah menggunakan body scrub yang tidak perlu ditunggu hingga kering sebelum digosok. Pilihanku kali ini adalah mencoba Lulur Mandi Susu Purbasari.

Aku suka kemasannya yang simpel, berbentuk tube ukuran besar. Tidak seperti kemasan body scrub lainnya yang berbentuk pot, sehingga aku perlu mencolek isinya dengan jari sebelum dioleskan ke kulit. Rasanya kurang higienis. Tapi dengan kemasan tube seperti Lulur Mandi Susu Purbasari ini, aku tinggal memencet tube nya saja. Praktis dan higienis. Teksturnya sama saja dengan scrub badan yang lainnya: berwarna putih, kental dan banyak butiran scrub nya. Wanginya juga enak.

Sebelumnya aku menyiram badan dengan air dulu dan menunggu hingga air nya agak habis agar kulit jadi lembab. Sambil menunggu air ya tiris, aku biasa menyikat gigi atau keramas dulu. Kemudian mengoleskan scrub ke kulit. Tidak perlu menunggu hingga kering, tapi cukup menggosok scrubnya di kulit selama beberapa menit, terutama di sekitar tengkuk, siku tangan, lutut, tumit, mata kaki dan jari-jari kaki. Kemudian bilas dengan air mengalir untuk membersihkan butiran scrubnya.

Di kemasan ditulis kalau Lulur Mandi Susu Purbasari ini bisa dipakai sebagai pengganti sabun, tapi bagiku sabun adalah sabun dan body scrub adalah body scrub. Karena itu aku selalu memakai sabun lagi setelah menggunakan scrub badan. Khusus untuk ini, biasanya aku memakai sabun susu yang biasanya digunakan untuk bayi untuk membuat kulit jadi lebih lembut dan wangii.. Secara keseluruhan, lulur mandi ini enak dipakai dan butiran scrubnya tidak terlalu kasar. Dengan pemakaian rutin, kulit bahkan nampak lebih cerah.

L'oreal Revitalift Milky Foam Facial Wash

Last month, my Balea Mildes Waschgel facial wash has officially end ^^ I used the very last drop of it and felt sad afterwards. I realized that maybe I will never be able to use this excellent facial gel again. But I found another great facial wash: L'oreal Revitalift Milky Foam. Its totally different from the Balea except for the package form. They use same kind of flip flop tube but with different size, since Balea is 150ml and L'oreal Revitalift Milky Foam is 100ml only. And it can easily be found in nearby drugstore.

The texture is milky just like written in the package and the foam will come up a few minutes after you rub it with water on your palm several times. The smell is nice and didn't hurt my eyes. I usually rub the foam into wet face without adding any water first since I like the milky texture on my face. Then I add few drops of water into my palm and rub my face again so that the milky texture will change into foam in the last minutes before I wash it with running water.

I like my skin afterward. It feel moist and soft. My usual problem everytime I change any of my skincare product is that my skin will need more days to be adapted. During that time my skin usually breakouts or sometimes becomes even drier but after few days everything will get better and my skin will finally accept the 'new comer'. But with this Balea Mildes Waschgel, my skin looks just fine from the very first day until now. So I vote for this one. Anyway, if you love whitening series skincare product, I think this is not for you since I can only read: Anti-wrinkle and firming written on the package :)

I am going to stick with this one for few months and review my skin afterward. I will change into new facial wash brand if needed.

Mustika Ratu Peeling Mundisari

We all know that washing your face with daily base facial wash is not enough. Daily facial wash I use right now is Balea Mildes Waschgel which you can read here. It cleans my face from daily make up I wear especially on the surface but I still can feel the dead skin cell underneath and I really want to get rid. And facial wash only is not 'strong' enough to do that, if you know what I mean *winked. I regularly use peeling to scrub the dead skin cell from my skin, usually once a week. I use facial scrub also every three days since the scrub's size are smaller than this peeling. Avoid using peeling too often since it makes your skin dry but if you use it wisely, you can get rid the dead skin cells easily and smoothen your skin at the same time. Here, I use Mustika Ratu Peeling Mundisari. Its a local brand which known for traditional and natural ingredients products.

I bought it in a supermarket without any box attached and its not expensive at all. There have been several changes in the packages before this one but basically it always has the same green colour on the background. It comes in tube with small cap which easy to open but can tightly close after so you don't have to worry about the spill. Squeeze the tube slowly onto you dried palm and measure the amount you want to use. The colour is pearly white with a texture almost like a gel but with tiny beads as scrub on it and smells like herbal.

I usually wash my skin first to get it damped and wipe it with towel. Then I apply the Mustika Ratu Peeling Mundisari all over my skin until its all covered but remember to always avoid the eye and mouth area. I wait until it dry and turns into some kind of white powder on my skin (usually around 10 to 15 minutes) then I start to scrub it all down. In the process, this powder will also take all the dead skin cells along and clean your skin surface.

After scrubbing I wash my face with facial foam to make sure that all the scrubs have taken down and feel the smoothness on my skin. I usually do this right before going to bed so after peeling time is over I apply my serum and night cream afterwards. I feel clean, fresh and relaxed :)

Balea Dunkle Flecken Aufheller

Among my other Balea beauty products, I use this Balea Dunkle Flecken Aufheller as a day cream. It contains Vitamin C consentrate on it. Vitamin C will lighten your skin and make it glowing. I use it after washing my face but before putting make up. For facial wash I'm still using Balea Mildes Waschgel and. I wrote about it here.

On my clean face I always apply the serum first. Until this time, I'm still using Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Serum and you can read my review here. After serum, I apply this Balea Dunkle Flecken Aufheller as my day cream. And then I put on my BB Cream. I'm still using Balea Q10 Anti-Falten BB Cream which you can read here. For a casual event, I just use loose powder and lipstick. But for formal event, I apply foundation first to make it stay longer. And then the make up section can now be started. LOL

The package is simple, a thin tube. The colour is white and absorb quickly into my skin and left no residue. No particular effect happens instantly but I can feel my skin smoother after a long time use. It does not make my skin oily nor dry, just smooth. I love it.

It smell nice and I store it inside my fridge along with the serum. And again, will be the last Balea Dunkle Flecken Aufheller I bought. As I wrote before, Balea products are getting harder and harder to find in Medan right now. So I must use another brand for my day cream instead.

Garnier Lightening Peel-Off Mask

I'm back. This time I want to review Garnier Lightening Peel-Off Mask and share it will you all, ladies. I first read about this mask on a beauty lover forum and found lots of positive comments there. Many of them agree that this mask is really worth to buy, that is why then I decided to buy one for myself and give it a try. I always love facial masks and peel-off mask is one of my favorite since I will bring all the whiteheads and blackheads on my face and gives instant result. Indeed, this facial mask is worth to buy.

As you can see for yourself from the picture above, the packaging is very simple and hygienic. Every single package contains two sachets of Garnier peel-off mask. Each of the small sachets contain 6ml for single use. So you have two sachets of masks in single package. The texture is creamy and sticky in yellow colour. I can smell a little bit of lemon in it. But when you apply it to you skin, the yellow colour will not appear. Instead, your skin will look wet and shiny without colour.

I always wash my face clean first before using any facial mask. On the second picture, the image of my bare skin after washed is on the top. The middle picture is how my skin look after the peel-off mask applied (sorry for my poor picture quality, I hope you can still see how my skin looks wet and shiny) and the bottom picture is how my skin look after I peel the mask off. I use my bare finger and apply the mask to my skin and avoiding the area around my eyes and mouth. You may also want to avoid the eye brow area and the line of your hair as well. Unless you want to have instant waxing on your face when you peel the mask off later. LoL.

And by the way, I always wear facial mask at night, before going to sleep. Since I do not have much time to do it on a day time, I also avoid using cosmetics after facial mask. I want my skin to rest and breath for a few hours before wearing cosmetics and it can only happen during night time. On day time, I always use (at least) BB Cream or face powder. I can not leave my house without them.

I wait until 20 minutes for the mask work until my skin feels stiff and mask has been properly dried. Then according to the instructions on the back of the package, I start to peel the mask from my chin and jaw first. I managed to peel the masked without tearing any part as you can see below. I can not capture the mask any closer than this to get clear image of whiteheads and blackheads from my skin on the surface of the peeled-off masked. It works and I like the result.

My skin looks soft and smooth and my pores looks better (LoL) unlike my usual big pores. And indeed it lightens my skin as well. I wash my face again with warm water to get rid of all the residue of the peel-off mask on my skin. After that, I apply the serum into my skin. I still use the Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Serum right now, you can read my review about this serum here The last layer is to wear a night cream. Right now, I use Balea Beauty Effect 24-h Pflege to moisturize my skin during the night time since I always sleep with the air conditioner ON until the morning comes.

Overall, I will definately repurchase this Garnier Lightening Peel-Off Mask for the next time. The result is over my expectation while the price itself is very "purse-friendly" LoL. I love this product and will use it regularly :)

Balea Mildes Waschgel

Actually, I'm running out this mild wash gel right now. It has a very big tube for a facial wash type. This is also my first tube after all. I was persuaded to try this after I bought a few products of Balea such as Balea Q10 Anti-Falten serum, Balea Dunkle Flecken Aufheller as day cream, Balea Q10 Anti-Falten BB Cream, and Balea Beauty Effect 24-h PFLEGE as night cream. I was about to buy a new facial wash at that time and then I thought why not try this one too? The price is not expensive, 120k Rupiah. In a short story, i bought this Balea Mildes Waschgel too.

As you can see from the picture above, the package of this Balea Mildes Waschgel is very simple just like any other facial wash in tube. But a 150ml size of facial wash is big for me because my usual facial wash is only 100ml top. It has flip flop cap so you do not have to take the cap lose, just open the cap and squeeze the tube. I found the cap is a bit hard to open but that is not a problem because you can carry it inside your bag without have to worry that the contain will spill out, right? The package colour is blue just like KRIM BIRU I used as a night cream. You can read my post about this cream here.

Inside, the texture is a very clear gel, just like the picture below. Squeeze a small amout of the gel into your palm. I usually add a little water in order to make it foamy, but since this is gel I choose to wet my skin face first and directly apply the facial gel into my skin. As I predicted, this gel is not a foamy kind of type. After applied, slowly the clear gel turns into soft white. I can feel it took away the oil acces from my skin face. I am a big fan of foamy facial wash actually but after using it a few times, i think this facial gel is not bad too.

I massage my face with it for a couple minutes before rinse it with water. Somehow I still feel some residues left in my skin which is bad for me. Residue usually makes my skin oily and will bring acnes after a few days. Suprisingly, its not! After a few days, my skin still look good without acne, even until now when I'm running out of gel. I must confess this Balea Mildes Waschgel is a good facial wash for me even without foam. Too bad I am goning to stop using this and back to my old brand of facial wash since I will stop buying any product of Balea in the future. Nice product though.

Etude Sheet Facial Mask - Pomegranate

Another facial mask here, ladies :) This one is different type from my previous facial mask review from Garnier Lightening Peel-Off Mask which you can read here. That Garnier mask is a peel-off mask while this one here is sheet mask. Etude Sheet Facial Mask - Pomegranate. Basically its made from paper which has been dampened with moisturizer (glycerin is very common). It has four holes on it, so when you put it on your face it will not cover both of your eyes, nose and mouth. Here is the package of this mask

I'm sorry for the tear in the package. I forgot to take picture of it before taking the mask out. The mask is so damped that your skin will get very wet on it. The smell is sweet just like the name Pomegranate. I like to keep it in the fridge for few hours before and feel the freshness on my skin when applied.

First, as usual, you have to clean your face before using this Etude Sheet Facial Mask - Pomegranate. I'm still using Balea Mildes Waschgel right now and you can read my review about it here. Take out the mask from the package and open gently. Put it down on your face according to the position of the four holes on it. These holes will fit on your eyes, nose and mouth. Leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes. You can lay down and get relax while waiting. If you put it on the fridge before using, the mask will also bring the cooling effect on your skin. Very relaxing.

After 20 minutes, take the mask down and dispose. Your skin will still remain wet with the moisturizers, do not wash your face. Gently rub the remain moisturizer onto your skin until fully absorbed. My skin feel moist, damp and soft afterwards. I will use it regularly and will find different type other than Pomegranate :)

Balea Beauty Effect- 24-h PFLEGE

This cream is one of Balea line I use other than serum and Bb Cream. You can read my review about Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Serum here and Balea Q10 Anti-Falten BB Cream here. I use Balea Beauty Effect 24-h PFLEGE as a night cream after applying the serum. I love this cream too as much as I love the serum. It soften my skin and make it looks moist. And read my review about Garnier Lightening Peel-Off Mask here.

Its actually a day cream and for normal type skin as you can read in the pot. But my skin is acne prone and too much moist will bring negative impact. Night cream is usually contains more amount of moisturiser compared to day cream. My first plan is to find out how moist is this day cream before buying the night cream. And turns out this day cream is moist enough even when I apply only a small amount of it into my face. I don't need to buy the night cream. I use this cream as night cream and will find another kind of day cream since this cream does not contain SPF. The pot size is regular for 50ml and unlike the Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Serum or Balea Q10 Anti-Falten BB Cream which have white background with yellow tone, this cream has blue tone instead. Unfortunately, it doesn't have spatula and I must use cotton bud to take the cream out. I will not use my bare finger, its not clean enough even if I wash it carefully.

The texture is light in pearly white colour and the smell is very pleasant. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any residue. I can feel the moist right after applying it into my skin. I sleep with air condition ON and I must use a proper moisturiser otherwise my skin will get drier night after night. And this Balea Beauty Effect 24-h PFLEGE really lasts until the morning comes. When I wake up, my skin still feel moist and soft. After I wash my face with water (without facial foam), my skin looks bright and soft. I really love it.

Too bad, that this Balea product will also be the last one for me because I will not repurchase it, just like my Balea serum.

I will buy another brand for my night cream and will share the review here just likeI always do.

Balea Q10 Anti-Falten BB Cream

BB Cream... BB Cream... Almost everybody loves this one, including me :)

Some say that BB Cream is a kind of cosmetic that you use as make up while some other consider it as skin care product. For me, BB Cream is covering both of them. BB Cream is a skin product that can be used as cosmetic as well. But I always wear this after applying serum and moisturiser first since I don't think that BB Cream has enough moisturiser in it. I use Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Serum and you can read my review about it here. BB Cream I use right now is Balea Q10 Anti-Falten BB Cream like this one below.

It is from the same line with my serum: if you want to read my review about it. The package is in tube of 50ml with the same colour as the serum which is white one the background with yellow tone. I think the tube is quite tricky and a bit hard to squeeze when its almost empty. When the tube is full, you can squeeze the tube slowly and the cream will come out, but when its almost empty you need to squeeze harder in couple of times.

The texture is thick and I think it only availables in one tone. Its thick but quite easy to blend and apply. But in my skin, this cream quickly absorbed and disappear. Its literally 'disappear' as if I'm wearing nothing at all which I don't like. I have read many reviews about BB Cream and find out that it should not be disappear into your skin. That there supposed to be a very thin layer of colour on your skin and makes it glowy like wearing tinted moisturiser. As you can see below, the right picture is my skin after applying this Balea Q10 Anti-Falten BB Cream and you will see nothing. LOL

I also think the oil control is not good enough since my skin starts to look oily after half and hour which is not good for me. I have dehydrated kind of skin which actually dry but produce oil as well. Its complicated :( and excellent oil control product really is a must for me. The result in my face after two months is'okay' with no break out. 'Okay' means it doesn't break my skin out but it doesn't improve it either. I keep using it since I do not want to throw it way and better use it but no intention to repurchase.

My last tube is almost empty now and I am about to buy another BB Cream from different brand and say good bye to Balea Q10 Anti-Falten BB Cream. I will write my review about the new BB Cream soon :)

Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Serum

It's been a while since my last English post in this blog due to the hectic time and lots and lots of things to do back home. And sometimes, I just feel that I have nothing to write down at the moment. And there's no use to push myself to the limit just because I want to write something new here :D since for me blogging is for fun anyway and not to add anymore pressure to my 'already hectic' life LOL

Anyway,
For this time post, let me share something new with you who accidently come over here. Its a kind of thing that I've never done before. A beauty review.

My first beauty product I want to share is: Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Serum
Actually, this is the very first beauty product I used from this Germany brand. We can not find Balea easily here in Medan and can only be bought from a friend who imported directly from Germany. And this friend of mine is the only person I know selling Balea products in Medan online (no offline store available). Later I found out that this brand is actually drugstore skincare products.

I have never use any kind of serum in my face before. My first reason is because every kind of serum I found is a bit pricey and I can not be sure that it will make my skin better. Then why risking too much money for stuff that you can't be sure will work right? But i decided to try this Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Serum since the price is lower, only 190k Rupiah for 30ml. At least if somehow i find this product is useless it won't be too hard for me throw it into trash bin. But I was surprised with the result!

As you can see, the bottle is quite simple with white colour combined with yellow. The pump quality is excellent that you can easily control the amount of serum you want to use. For me i just use the size of peanut to apply in my whole face. The texture is not thick and easy to absorb. The smell is also pleasant for me

I love this serum since the very first time! It makes my dehidrated skin soft and smooth, no breakout and excellent oil control. And I can see the result just within one week. But I'm not a big fan of whitening product and this serum is not for whitening purpose. But the moisturiser ingredients are so easy to absorb without any oily residue. I really like my skin right now. It looks brighter and smooth.

As you can see, on the left is my bare skin after cleaned. And on the left is my skin after I applied the serum. I took picture of it right away after applied before the serum dissapear into my skin so that you can see the difference. But after the serum absorbed completely, you won't find any residue on my skin left. I can only feel the moist in my skin and it feel smooth. I really love it. But unfortunately, I'm going to find another brand of serum for the next month. I already bought my third bottle but I think I will not repurchase this Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Serum again since my friend who usually sells this serum is running out of stock. The time of the arriving products from Germany to Medan is so unpredictable. Sometimes, buyers will need to wait until one month or more after ordered. That means if your serum bottle is already empty while your next order hasn't arrived yet, you will not be using any serum in the meantime. Unless you buy another available serum from different brand. And if so, why bother to go back using this Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Serum again if you already find another substitute serum which actually works for your skin too? However, I really love this serum and the ingredients are all safe too, no dangerous ingredients whatsoever. It's so bad that I'm not going to use this serum again Lucky for you who stay in Germany and have easy access to this treasure.
